Which channel to use

We run four channels and they are genuinely not interchangeable. Picking the right one is the difference between an answer this morning and an answer tomorrow.

• WhatsApp — +255 759 702 766. Best for anything operational and urgent: a till that will not print, a VFD receipt that has not transmitted, a payroll run due today. Screenshots help enormously. This is the fastest channel during business hours.
• Phone — +255 759 702 766. Best when something is blocking trading right now, or when the problem is easier to describe than to type.
• Email — info@tawala.co.tz. Best for anything that needs a paper trail: quotations, procurement documents, contract or data-processing questions, and formal complaints. Use sales@tawala.co.tz for pricing and support@tawala.co.tz for existing-customer issues so it reaches the right queue first time.
• In person. Block 45C Kijitonyama, Cameroon Road, Dar es Salaam. Visits are by appointment — please book first, because the team is often out at customer sites.

Office hours are Monday to Friday 08:00–18:00 and Saturday 09:00–14:00 East Africa Time. We are closed on Sundays and Tanzanian public holidays; you can check the dates on our free 2026 public holidays calendar. Emergency support for paying customers runs outside those hours. We answer in English or Swahili — whichever you write in.

What to have ready

If you are an existing customer reporting a problem, send your business name, the module, what you expected to happen, what happened instead, and a screenshot including the time. That single message usually removes an entire round trip.

If you are evaluating Tawala, the most useful things to tell us are: roughly how many people will use the system, how many locations you operate, whether you need TRA fiscal receipts, whether you run payroll and for how many staff, and what you are using today. With that we can tell you in one conversation whether we fit — including when we do not.

Answer it yourself, faster

A large share of the questions we receive already have published answers. Pricing, tiers, what is included and annual discounts are all set out on the pricing page. Setup questions are covered step by step in the getting started guide. Whether fiscalisation applies to your business is answered by the EFD/VFD eligibility checker and the TRA VFD compliance guide. Statutory calculations — PAYE, NSSF, VAT — are free to run without contacting anyone. Product questions are usually answered in the help centre or on the relevant solutions page.

Outside Dar es Salaam

We serve businesses across Tanzania. Setup is done remotely as standard and works fine over a normal mobile connection; on-site visits can be arranged for Dar es Salaam and major regional towns. We publish local pages for Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza, Dodoma, Mbeya, Zanzibar and other regions.
