Do I need a TRA VFD machine separate from Tawala?
No. Tawala is a TRA-certified VFD at the cloud-software level. Issue an invoice or till receipt; the fiscal receipt goes to TRA in real time. No hardware required, though receipt printers are supported.
Which receipt printers does it support?
Any TRA-approved 80mm thermal printer with USB or network connection. Common models: Epson TM-T20III, Star TSP143, Bixolon SRP-330II.
Can the POS work on a phone?
Yes — Tawala POS runs on Android tablets and phones, plus Windows, macOS, and Linux laptops. Offline mode works on all of them.
What if my internet goes down for hours?
The POS keeps selling locally. Receipts queue. The moment your connection returns, queued receipts transmit to TRA in order. You don't lose a single sale.
How does inventory work across multiple branches?
Each branch has its own stock balance. Tawala can transfer stock between branches with full audit trail. Head-office sees consolidated stock + per-branch P&L.
